Whether days or nights, New York is always pressurized, everything is oversized. There’s no time to take a break, before you already have to go back. The sirens are blaring, there's smoke from the manhole covers, it becomes stunning, and at the end they are all the things that give it authenticity.
"Inner city" is a way to talk about a "lower class" below the suburbs. It's also this lower class which come into The Big Apple to work, to entertain, to spend money, to use public transportation all day long; somehow the deep soul of the city comes from them.
